The Tekmar Energy business is firmly focused on the delivery of sub-sea cable protection system for the renewable energy industry, specifically for offshore wind farms. We have recently developed a new system which has revolutionised the connection and protection of cables connecting into individual wind turbines. Plans are also in place to provide similar systems for floating wind farms as they are developed.

The unique Teklink cable protection system we manufacture is a specialist patented cable protection system for offshore wind turbines. Our system has massive advantages over conventional systems as it doesn't need a j-tube and utilises a remote installation method with no handling in a diver-less operation. This alone produces great savings as well as reducing vessel time for the operation. Once installed the system greatly increases the lifetime of any cables protected and reduces the need for any ongoing maintenance and inspection.

Tekmar Energy has already successfully delivered solutions into large offshore wind farm projects such as Alpha Ventus and Bard (with NSW) and Gjoa ( with ABB ). The opportunity to work in partnership with large sub-sea cabling companies is one which Tekmar Energy relishes as the cable protection system greatly enhances the cable resilience and reduce maintenance and risk of damage to the cables.
